All About Honister Cottage...
Honister Cottage Awarded 5 Stars Gold by Visit Britain
Located at the foot of Honister Pass in the tiny hamlet of Seatoller, Honister Cottage is surrounded by fells in the beautiful Borrowdale Valley - an area popular with HRH Prince Charles. This 400-year-old cottage has been restored to its former glory.
We've lovingly breathed new life into many of its original features including the traditional cast iron fire range, stone staircase and original oak beams (some of which on the upper floors are very low ie waist height). These may prove a treat for younger members of your party!
You will find modern creature comforts here too. Bang & Olufsen music system, iPod/radio in bedrooms, broadband internet access, modern kitchen and bathrooms and beautiful furnishings.
Sleeping six, the master bedroom has a sumptous King Size sleigh bed, television with free sat and full en-suite facilities. The second bedroom has a French Oak double bed, while the third bedroom can be either a twin or transformed into a Super-King bed if preferred.
There is a second bathroom with full bath and shower, wc and basin. If there are younger members in your party, they can use the lounge on the first floor which comes stocked with LCD digital free sat TV, Blu-Ray dvd and Xbox. The traditional lounge on the ground floor can then be occupied by the adults and features the old fire-range in the open plan dining area.
Equipped with quality crystal glassware and china dinner service we hope you feel relaxed in your homely surroundings. On your arrival, you'll find an extensive Lakeland Cumbrian food hamper, Champagne, homemade chocolates and cake. We'll also leave fresh flowers, well-stocked fruit bowl and you'll find some more surprises awaiting you in the refrigerator.
